LevFin Lab started with a simple idea: create a place dedicated to the world of credit. A place where students, junior professionals and anyone interested in the market can learn the concepts that often get overlooked in day-to-day work. From interview preparation and technical deep dives to market commentary and industry insights, our goal is to make complex credit topics more accessible. While our LinkedIn page focuses on what's happening in the market today, the blog is designed to build the technical foundation that helps you understand it.
By day, I work in the world of credit in London (and usually at night as well). Over the years, I have spent countless hours structuring financings, reading documentation, speaking with investors and borrowers, and more recently, interviewing and mentoring junior bankers. One thing became increasingly clear: Leveraged Finance is one of the most misunderstood areas of investment banking. Many people know the buzzwords, but relatively few understand how transactions are actually structured, negotiated and executed.
That's exactly why LevFin Lab exists.
The ambition, however, goes beyond Leveraged Finance. Credit markets are evolving rapidly, and so will the content. Alongside leveraged loans and high yield bonds, we'll explore topics across Private Credit, Public Credit, Special Situations and Restructuring—areas that have become increasingly relevant in a world of higher interest rates, tighter liquidity and more creative financing structures.
LevFin Lab is still a small project, but it's growing. More importantly, it's built around a community of people who enjoy learning and sharing ideas. If you have feedback, questions, suggestions for future topics, or would like to contribute an article and be featured on the blog, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for reading, and welcome to LevFin Lab.
